Party For Socialism And Liberation, San Diego’s Communist Party

The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) is a national, communist party with a chapter in San Diego. Locally, they do not generally declare it explicitly in public but are fairly open about their political extremism on the website and at more private events. While there are a number of other groups in San Diego that follow a communistic ideology, the PSL is probably the most open about it.

Relationship with International Communism

Two of their central committee members during a visto to the Turkish communist party said it very explicitly in an interview with the International Communist Press (ICP), which was posted on the ICP website. Click here to see the original article. One paragraph from the interview is shown below:

LOCAL Activities in San Diego

PSL Communists have been running for office, speaking out at government meetings of local government and participating in protests.

Antifa and the PSL communists are natural allies. In this video, a small group of Proud Boys meetup with a similar group of PSL communists wearing their signature red and white shirts with several antifa. This happened at an anti-Trump protest in 2017. Antifa is an anarcho-communist movement, as described in Andy Ngo’s book, “Unmasked” and numerous other sources.

The taller antifa with a bushy beard in dark clothes with a dark green ski cap is Jesse Cannon, aka “Tall Can”. Jesse is the lead of the antifa cell in San Diego. At the time of his writing, he is being prosecuted with a number of other Antifa for felony conspiracy to riot. The video just shows that the PSL works readily with other local communistic groups and fellow travelers, including Progressives.

The local PSL supported three candidates for office in 2022, shown below, Marco Amaral for the California state Superintendent of public schools, Jose Cortez for US Congress and Steven Estrada for the City Council of Long Beach.

In this video, several of the PSL members in San Diego speak out for the right of biological male transgenders to use women’s restroom and showering facilities. I do not mean to imply that these were the only communists at these events. They are just the ones that were most easy to identify in the videos.

Watch on Bitchute

In California and probably several other states, this is completely legal, even exposing his genitals if the person still has his male sex organs, unless the transgender is already registered as a sex offender. Of course, most who have in the past or will in the future commit sexual crimes, have not yet been caught, prosecuted and convicted. So, most perverts will not be on the registry and will still be able to use women’s facilities if they just claim to identify as a woman.

Communists have also for many decades often called themselves “Progressives” to avoid the stigma associated with communism. Progressivism is a utopian ideology that is philosophically related to communism. The concept of both ideologies is to use the government to create a utopian “perfect” society and a perfect world. In fact, that was the Nazi/Fascist concept, also. They just have different ideas about what a perfect society is.

Click the image below to expand and see the details. The image of the woman on the left of the revolutionary banner has a copy of the Communist Manifesto tucked under her arm and a plant that from afar appears to be a bomb with a lite fuse. That shows plain enough what their beliefs are.

Marco Amaral – Communist For CA State Superintendent of Public Instruction

Marco Amaral is a teacher, a communist and “Raza” (Hispanic racial/ethnic) nationalist. In 2022, he is campaigning in the primary to be the Superintendent of Public Instruction. So, every voter should know what his real political ideology is about. Amaral is almost completely open about being a radical who believes in a violent revolution.

Update: The San Diego Union-Tribune actually endorsed Marco. They want such a radical, anti-American to be making policy for California schools. Click here for more info.

Amaral believes that he should teach radical Marxist and La Raza racial identity ideology in the schools and he has been doing it for quite a few years already. This post is not intended to incite any physical violence against Amaral, as he has claimed in the past, but to better inform the public about his fanatical political ideology, especially to inform the parents of the children he is intends to radicalize.

First, this video below was a campaign ad when he ran for the Board of Trustees in 2018. He subsequently won a seat on the South Bay Union School District in San Diego County. The photo of him at a protest in the beret and paramilitary uniform has been added to the video.

Serious About Systemic Change Interview – 2021

This following quote came from an interview posted on the revolutionary Marxist/anarchist website, puntorojomag.org –

Serious about Systemic Change: an interview with Marco Amaral

As an educator, how have your political principles shaped your approach in the classroom? How have your experiences in the classroom shaped your political outlook?

I have identified as an Internationalist for several years now. Internationalism pushes me to engage the scholarly and social work of people from around the world, specifically – people that are struggling against the forces of oppression and bigotry. Therefore, after years of engaging as an activist educator influenced by the work of people ranging from Frantz Fanon and Antonia Darder to Paulo Freire and the resistance work of Indigenous communities, I decided that my classroom couldn’t be confined to the limited understandings of the “American Educational Model.”

Amaral says he was most influenced by Frantz Fanon, among two others. Fanon was a revolutionary Marxist and radical anti-colonialist, who advocated violent overthrow of the system, even via a “murderous campaign”, as he says. I don’t know about the other two that he mentions as influences, but I would guess they have similar radical ideologies.

Below is a quote from page 2 of “The Wretched of the Earth” by Frantz Fanon. This is Fanon’s most well-known book. You don’t have to read very far to find Fanon preaching violent, bloody revolution. A central theme of the book is that extreme violence is necessary in order to overthrow the existing, so-called “colonial systems” around the world. Is this what Californians would like their children to be taught?

From page 2 of “The Wretched of the Earth” by Frantz Fanon.

Nicaraguan Molotov Man -2018

At one time Amaral had this famous photo of a Nicaraguan revolutionary, called the “Molotov Man”, uploaded to his Facebook page, but he took it down when he ran for the school board. It tells you that he identifies with communist bomb throwers.

Teaching Kids To Hate Police – 2018

Amaral identifies as a Marxist revolutionary and Chicano ethnic/racial militant. Here he is seen marching with a banner in Spanish that reads, “Students for the Liberation of Aztlan”. “Aztlan” refers to the Southwestern US, which militant Chicanos claim as the national homeland of La Raza (The Race), that is the Hispanic mestizo race.

Amaral believes in radicalizing students. The melee in the video below started when a student assaulted a police sergeant. The school where he teaches is about a mile away. Why would he be so much involved and he just happens to be on the spot taking video? It just seems that maybe Amaral inspired this conflict or even directly instigated it.

Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit Against San Diego City – 2016

Amaral filed a federal civil rights lawsuit for police brutality against San Diego City, due to his arrest at an anti-Trump protest on November 9, 2016. A large crowd protested Trump election in 2016 in Downtown San Diego. When they started setting fires, the police declared it an unlawful assembly. Amaral failed to disperse and was arrested. He claimed that he was injured during the in the arrest. The Case number and title is 3:17-cv-02409-L-LL, Amaral v. City of San Diego et al.

Trump protester files lawsuit saying police violated his civil rights at San Diego rally

After about 3.5 years of litigation, the judge dismissed the case. According to court documents, Amaral spent over $10K in attorney fees and other court costs, which may be just a rough number.

From ISO Wikipedia page
Trotskyites March on Border Wall Rally – 2017

On December 9, 2017, Comrade Amaral marched at the head of a group of about 15 others on a rally for the border wall. Their intention appeared to be to disrupt the rally, which would be attended by Congressman Duncan Hunter.

They marched behind two banners for the International Socialist Organization, which according to the ISO Wikipedia page is an openly communist (Trotskyite). organization. Leon Trotsky, along with Lenin was, of course, one of main leaders of the Russian communist revolution in 1917.

This is Marco Amaral, berating and harassing the sheriff’s deputies. The banner behind him reads, “Ban the Wall”, “Sanctuary for All” and “International Socialist Organization”.

An image of the other ISO Banner follows, which displays the revolutionary clinched fist and the reads “International Socialist Organization”, “Unite and Fight”. The communists were urging the group to fight, then they blamed others for starting the fight and claimed to be the victims.

Ironically, after another communist teacher, Justin Akers Chacon of City College, sucker-punched a 17-year-old boy, a brawl did break out, Amaral and the other Trotskyites complained bitterly and blamed the Sheriff’s deputies for not protecting them. This was even though they are vehemently anti-police, their own banner called for a fight and one of the communists threw the first punch, striking an adolescent in the face.

One of Amaral’s associates, involved in this brawl, admitted at another event that he is a “communist”. He is the one wearing the red cap and white scarf at about 2:20 in the video below and goes by “Rafael Bautista”. Ironically, in real life he appears to be a real estate agent, a mortgage broker and a manager of a small landscaping business. He’s a capitalist in real life, but he appears to have a fantasy of being a communist revolutionary, which he plays as a role in his spare time. Well, a person has to eat, I guess, and it is difficult to make a living spouting communist rhetoric and preaching revolution.

Rafael Bautista, self-declared communist, one of Marco Amaral’s comrades.

There is a good-sized cadre of those in San Diego County. who identify as communist, anti-American revolutionaries. Amaral and Rafael Bautista are just two of this group of such radicals. They are part of this revolutionary scene.

Occupy Cal (Berkeley)- 2011

Amaral has long been a leftist radical, at least since his student days. He was a political science major at University of California, Berkeley and an organizer of the Occupy Cal movement in 2011 and was an organizer of this event in the video below when 40 protesters were arrested by UC Berkeley police. This protest occurred on November 10, 2011. Comrade Amaral does not seem to be in this video, but he was an organizer and spokesman for the group.

See the links for more information. Amaral is cited as a spokesman in the articles linked below.

Leftist-Engineered ‘Hate’ Incident at Coronado Basketball Game

Serna, radical Leftist and SEIU Union leader distributed tortillas
and asked young students to throw them at the Latino opposition

After a high school championship basketball game, between Coronado High and Orange Glenn High of Escondido, tortillas were thrown, which was taken as an racist act against the majority Latino team from Orange Glenn. It appears that the racist act was “engineered” by an Democratic operative in order to pressure Coronado to implement the teaching of Critical Race Theory and other such Marxist racial ideology in Coronado, which is a Republican enclave in San Diego, Ca. Lucas Serna, brought the tortillas and encouraged impressionable, young Coronado students to throw them, saying it was a celebratory thing and okay to do, even that it was approved by the Coach.

SEE A TIMELINE AT THIS LINK:
Coronado – Orange Glen High School Basketball Game Food Throwing Incident

According to a local Talk Show host, Carl DeMaio, Lucas Serna turns out to be a member of the local Democrat Club, a Democratic Socialist and a leader in the SEIU. It is believed he set Coronado up for a charge of racism, a dirty trick.

The school superintendent and most of the school board jumped to the conclusion that Coronado High students were guilty before the investigations were done. The California Interscholastic Federation also jumped the gun and issued a statement stripping Coronado High of the SoCal Championship and putting the school on probation for three years.

UPDATE: Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey calls on School Board to Apologize for Smearing Coronado and Students

As a result of this incident, a couple of professional leftist agitators have gotten involved and are exploiting it for publicity and fundraising purposes. Enrique Morones and Tasha Williamson are two of them. Yusef Miller is probably another, though I have not been following him. I have posted links to archives for Enrique Morones and Tasha Williamson in the upper right margin.

Enrique Morones is known for tricking the Border Patrol, arranging a cross border wedding (see video) for a convicted, major cartel drug smuggler in December, 2017.

Tasha Williamson was arrested when she threatened to burn down National City in 2018 (see video) and was the most prominent BLM leader with the mob burned La Mesa’s downtown to the ground during a BLM protest turned riot.

This post provides one page where interested persons can obtain an overview of what happened and links to relevant internet resources. Whether you live in Coronado or not, this is a good example of a leftist dirty trick and anyone can learn something about their tactics and how they operate from this example. Around the time that Trump was elected president, we saw many incidences of fake hate crimes and/or over prosecution of minor incidents, deemed hate, for political purposes.

PROFESSIONAL LEFTIST AGITATOR, ENRIQUE MORONES

Enrique Morones hypocritically rails against racism, when it seems not to be about racism at all, but trying to frame others as being racist for political purposes. In public comments at a special CHS board meeting, he called the tortillas, “bombs of racism”.

BLM ORGANIZER & AGITATOR – TASHA WILLIAMS

This veteran confronted the BLM marchers head-on. The BLM radicals were lead by Tasha Williamson and marched down the middle of Coronado’s main street, flying a Mexican flag, vandalizing public property and chanting insulting slogans. I can totally understand how he feels, but I would not personally recommend this approach. It can get you in more trouble than it’s worth. As said already above, Tasha Williamson threatened to burn down National City in June of 2018 and was the BLM leader in La Mesa (as well as all of San Diego County) when downtown La Mesa was burned to the ground during a BLM/Antifa riot. She toured La Mesa’s downtown with her entourage as it burned during the riot. See the video here.

CARL DEMAIO – CONSERVATIVE TALK SHOW HOST

Carl DeMaio has really been on top of this story, publicizing much critical information that others media outlets censor. Click on the ling to go to Carl’s KOGO podcast to see his updates.

Serna admitted to Carl DeMaio and other reporters that he is a Democratic activist and leftist / progressive union leader.

Citizens of Coronado mostly opposed the rush-to-judgment by the School Board. Three leftist agitators (outsiders) also spoke out trying to brand Coronado as an enclave of racism, Yusef Miller (8:30), Enrique Morones (14:20) and Tasha Williamson (18:10).

Americans Last Again – Legal Aid Approved For Illegal Aliens

Our new progressive-dominated San Diego County Board of Supervisors decided to put Americans last, once again, when they voted to give illegal aliens financial aid for their legal defense against deportation. Deportation proceedings is a civil action and American citizens are not eligible to obtain financial aid if they are defendants in a civil lawsuit. The County has allocated five million dollars for this program. It is expected to become a part of the annual budget.

County Boards, with their feelings self-importance, are often not satisfied with the more mundane local tasks, such fixing potholes, catching stray dogs and dealing with homelessness. Sometimes they like to weigh-in on national and even global issues, using our money. Deportation of illegal aliens is a federal issue. Certainly, the County should not be using local taxpayers money to defend non-citizens from deportation in a federal court.

Terra Lawson-Remer is the radical, newly-elected, progressive supervisor who proposed this measure. That she thinks the Constitution guarantees illegal aliens a taxpayer-funded defense just shows how twisted and confused the thinking of progressives can be. One commentator also commented that the fund could also be used to sue landlords for discrimination when they refuse to rent to illegal aliens.

Antifa Radical Arrested For Assault On Trumpers in Pacific Beach

Self-described “queer activist” and Berkeley drop-out, Jonah Bigel was arrested at a weekly provocative political event at the boardwalk in Pacific Beach on a felony assault charge, felony vandalism and a misdemeanor possession of narcotics / controlled substance.

The event is organized via a Facebook group called “Republicans of Pacific Beach”. After the attack on Congress on 1/6, they drew a very hostile crowd to their events, where Trump flags are displayed, merchandise is sold and a “Recall Gavin” petition can be signed.

This document below from from the court file describes the charges against Bigel. Bigel is charged with seven felonies and one misdemeanor. He is alleged to have tried to burn down a police storefront, carried an unregistered firearm and of assaulting protesters with a baseball bat, among other offenses. To make it even worse, he did all of this while he was on probation for an earlier conviction.

This is video of the event on February 27th, when a mob tore down their petition-signing stand.

Bitchute – Riot Against Trump Supporters in Pacific Beach, Ca

Fellow conservatives requested that they not link the Recall Gavin Newsom effort to pro-Trump activism, because the recall effort should-be and is bi-partisan. Having it as part of a pro-Trump event plays into the narrative promoted by Newsom supporters that the petition is backed by Trumpist, right-wing radicals. This most probably harms the recall effort more than it helps.

There are Democrats and Independents, as well as Republicans, who have problems with Newson’s severe and irrational lockdowns, destruction of small businesses/jobs and his authoritarian methods of governing. Recall Newsom signature gathering shouldn’t be a partisan event.

Bigel’s activist partner started a fund-raising and telephone campaign to try to get Bigel released from jail and charges dropped.

Bigel is not being charged with peaceful protesting, but with using violence against peaceful protesters to deny them their free speech. His bail was set so high, because he was already on probation, yet that appears not to have deterred him from committing other very serious violent crimes.

You can see Jonah Bigel’s Who’s in Jail profile below.
