Tasha Williamson is a lead organizer for Black Lives Matter in San Diego County. After a policemen arrested a young black man in La Mesa she threatened that there would be violence in La Mesa and throughout San Diego County, unless her demands were met. A few hours later it began to happen as she threatened that it would. There was a riot and arson attack in La Mesa. There major buildings were burned to the ground, dozens of stores were looted. They tried to burn down the police station and city hall.
SIDENOTE: Please do not threaten Tasha Williamson with physical harm or harass her. The purpose of this post is to inform, not to incite. She raises money from any such behavior directed at her. So, if you do that, you will just be helping her raise a lot more money and convince more people to support her.
In this video, Tasha warns that violence will spread all over the County if their demands are not meet. The riot and arson attack in La Mesa started just a few hours later.
You have to listen carefully, but in this first video below Tasha Williamson justifies the violence in La Mesa on May 30, 2020, because it forced the City government to listen to their demands. They burned down La Mesa in order to punish an innocent police officer. At about 2:25 she says, “You have to understand what it took to get here today and that level of violence was what it took to get here today.”
At about 4:39, she says, “We should already see justice and we don’t and until we do we will continue to see what we got over the weekend.” (BLM and antifa burned downtown La Mesa and tried to burn down City Hall and the police station over the previous weekend.
The most important immediate demand was for La Mesa to fire and make charges against Matt Dages, a La Mesa police officer, who arrested a black man, Amaurie Johnson, a few days before the attack on La Mesa. The arrest was used to justify the attack. For more background on this situation go to this link.
Black Lives Matter organizer, Tasha Williamson, live-streams at 8:50 PM to her followers that the “revolution has started”. According to the police timeline, the reports of looting of the Vons stores started at 9:12 PM. A little more than two hours later, at 11.11 PM Chase bank was reported to be on fire and the other two buildings were torched only minutes thereafter. This live-stream by Tasha Williamson could have been a green-light to start the ransacking of businesses and the following arson attack on La Mesa. Williamson was on site to view it when the burning of the banks started.
Under pressure from BLM, Dages was falsely charged and prosecuted for a felony of filing a false police report, but on December 10 2021 he was found “not guilty”. There were no substantive inaccuracies in his report.
Tasha Williamson has a history of threatening city governments with violence, in order to get what she wants. Two years earlier Tasha Williamson threatened to burn down National City, another suburb of San Diego if they did not fire their police chief. She declared that she would show up with 10,000 people at the next Council Meeting and that the town would look like Ferguson when they are done.
The family of Earl McNeil received a settlement of $300K from National City. See this link for a description of what happened to Earl McNeil. The case was much like George Floyd’s, he was on drugs and died in a hospital after being restrained by the police.
In the end, I do not believe that Tasha Williams directly orders the mob attacks. She just gives green light for it. It more likely antifa and the more radical BLM members that do the dirty work, only indirectly in coordination with Williamson. She acts as the frontwoman with the government entity to make demands and threatens them with more violence from other organizers if they do not comply.
San Diego County Gun Owners (SDCGO) Reaches Out To Leftist Extremists
In the video below, the Political Director of the San Diego County Gun Owner, Michael Schwartz, interviews Tasha Williamson and celebrates his outreach, which should result in training and arming radical leftist groups in San Diego, such as the radical fringe of the Black Lives Matter movement. The anarcho-communist movement, Antifa, was apparently also offered the same training and aid in obtaining guns. Michael Schwartz either does not know or — more likely — does not care about Tasha Williamson’s background with BLM and other leftist extremist groups. He reached out to the group and boasts about it in the video below. Reportedly, he has called his successful outreach to Tasha — and thereby to BLM extremists and Antifa — his greatest achievement!
Williamson says (07:00) that she was threatened, and she probably was, but that was because she has been perceived as the leader of the most radical elements of BLM in the County. The town of La Mesa in San Diego Country was looted, vehicles set on fire, and major buildings were burned to the ground during a riot that broke out at a Black Lives Matter Protest. They tried to set fire to the police station and they did set fire to the City Hall (annex), but it burned out. I am not condoning threats, but if she was threatened, it was in response to her own wrongdoing and public, direct or insinuated threats that she has made herself.
Williamson says in the video that she was never part of BLM (11:25), but she often acted as a (if not THE) major spokesperson for BLM in the County as in the flyer below for a panel discussion about BLM. There is no formal membership list for BLM protesters. What we know is that she was often leading BLM protests — sometimes violent — and speaking on behalf of BLM as a prominent leader, during the time that BLM was recently active in 2020.
Tasha Threatens To Burn Down National City
In 2018 Tasha Williamson threatened to burn National City. She said, “You (National City) will look like Ferguson when we are done. (00:50) She also threatens, “Somebody is going to get hurt”. (02:45) When police are ordered to remove her from the building, she screams, “You remove me and you’re gonna have ten thousand of me next time you are here.” (04:50)
Though they apparently made procedural mistakes, the San Diego DA, Summer Stephan, in her investigation found that the police officers were not criminally responsible for Earl McNeil’s death. See this link: DA opts not to charge officers in the death of Earl McNeil. McNeil was found to have very high levels of methamphetamine in his bloodstream, which was enough to explain the heart attack that he suffered, causing his death.
Tasha was not able to gather 10,000 like-minded, fellow revolutionaries to burn down National City as she threatened. However, she and her supporters displaying BLM signs did disrupt National City Council meetings repeatedly at that next two council meetings with the threat of mob action. My opinion is that they put real fear into the council members.
Two years later, La Mesa was burned down during a riot at a Black-Lives-Matter protest. It was a protest in which she was much-involved, as a leader of the local BLM movement.
The next day after La Mesa, BLM rioters also vandalized and looted Downtown San Diego and reportedly tried to set fire to the County Admin Building. BLM also marched multiple times in Santee, another targeted city, but the town was protected by large groups of armed citizens, who caused the BLM mob to restrain their would-be violent behavior and even motivated them to leave town promptly before dark rather than stick around until witching hour and set fire to the town.
Threat: Violence and Arson Will Spread
In this video, Tasha Williamson indirectly threatens violence will spread around the County if their demands are not met. The riot and arson attack in La Mesa started just a few hours later. She said, that other organizers will do it, not her. Her tactic appears to be to isolate herself from direct culpability, while helping to justify it and incite it.
Tasha Livestreams Start Of The Revolution
Black Lives Matter organizer, Tasha Williamson, live-streams at 8:50 PM to her followers that the revolution has started. According to the police timeline, the reports of looting of the Vons stores started at 9:12 PM. A little more than two hours later, at 11:11PM Police reported Chase Bank to be on fire and the other two buildings were torched only minutes thereafter. This live-stream by Tasha Williamson seems to have been a green-light to to tell her viewers to come to La Mesa and participate in the “revolution”.
In the video Tasha Williamson is referring to the shooting of Leslie Furcron in the head with a bean bag at the riot in La Mesa. Furcron, a grandmother, was hoping to see the police station burned down. As she says in her own video, linked below, referring to the Police Station, “Burn that motherfucker down!” The mob was throwing, deadly, baseball-sized to softball-sized rocks at the police at the time Furcron was hit with a beanbag. Technically, I believe the police would have been justified using deadly force in return with such a murderous crowd at an illegal assembly trying to kill them and burn down the police station.
The rioters had already been ordered to disperse. It is a shame she was badly hurt, but she should not have been there, but rather at home playing with her grandkids. She willingly put herself in serious danger.
Below, Tasha Williamson and her entourage show up in La Mesa to tour the burning of the banks. With perfect timing, they arrive just as the banks begin to burn. A couple hours earlier she livestreamed what can be perceived as a “call to action”. Then, she shows up at a riot just as the banks have been set ablaze. Did she have advanced knowledge?
Having been declared an illegal assembly a few hours earlier, it was illegal for her to even be at this riot. The police were too undermanned and overwhelmed by rioters to do much about it.
BLM Radical Explains: Why The Banks Were Burned Down
One of Tasha’s close associates explains at a protest that she led, why they (BLM) burned down the banks in La Mesa. Stephen Glenn McLeod is an associate of Tasha Williamson. They used his van as a supply van that followed many BLM protests. At this Black-Lives-Matter protest in La Mesa on August 11, 2020, he explains that the two banks were burned down because they built their corporations on the backs of slaves. They also burned the historic Randall building to the ground. I a doubt very much that the banks had anything to do with slavery and even more so with the regard to the Randall building. The Randall building was then occupied by an architectural firm.
I was not a part of Defend East County (DEC), but just a blogger covering the events. However, I believe DEC and 2-3 other similar groups did very much help prevent more rioting and arson in La Mesa and avoid it entirely in Santee, where BLM leaders hoped to bring the same kind of destruction as they inflicted on La Mesa.
BLM protesters would call anyone “racist” and “white supremacist”, who dares oppose their program of intimidation by mob, chaos, looting and arson, I told people they should not to threaten her, not only because I do not think it is right, but because she used the threats to gain sympathy and to aid in fundraising.
Some of the radicals wanted to turn La Mesa into a city controlled by leftist political extremists like Portland became for a while. See this video: BLM Admits, San Diego is not Portland.
“When aimed at an aircraft, a beam of light from a handheld laser can illuminate a cockpit, disorienting and temporarily blinding the pilots,” said Suzanne Turner, Special Agent in Charge of FBI San Diego. “It’s a federal felony that the FBI and our law enforcement partners take very seriously.”
Tasha Leads Violent Protest At Police-Chief Home
Tasha Williamson led a protest of intimidation by threat of mob violence om front of the San Diego Police Chief’s home. She often leads this kind of protest to “make them feel uncomfortable”, she says. It makes people fear for the safety of themselves, their family and property. Property tends to catch on fire at BLM protests.
At the beginning of the video Tasha instructs her troops to fight back, if attacked. They apply the concept of collective guilt to their opposition. It seems any pro-American who opposes their agenda may be considered an aggressor and “fair game” as a target to “fight back”.
Towards the end of the video a patriotic neighbor living a few houses away from the Police Chief was beaten. This is not East County, so it seems doubtful that he belongs to the Defend East County group. Tasha can be heard to yell, “he assaulted someone”, which can be considered a que for her mob to attack him. A woman accused him of pushing her. Pushing an aggressive person out of your personal space is not an assault. It is very likely they got in his face when they saw he was a patriot. Probably for that reason, he was viciously beaten by members of the mob as others laughed and cheered them on.
Tasha Reaches Out To Her “Comrades”
Tasha reached out to other leftist extremists to let them know that the SDCGO was offering free training and help in arming themselves, courtesy of their donors.
The Facebook user “Oside4All” includes a screenshot from Tasha Williamson’s Instagram account, lauding the gun advocacy group for helping her and others arm and train themselves for purposes of “self defense”. Tasha uses the handle “queenta4” on Instagram. SDAgainstFash (San Diego Against Fascists), displays an Antifa logo and is a Twitter account shared by multiple antifa members.
This next image is a screenshot of Tasha’s Facebook page that OSide4All tweeted. “QueenTA4” is one of Tasha’s handles. It is stated here that the SDCGO group helped Tasha and others in arming themselves. Note that they talk of “comrades” being able to obtain guns, CCW’s, gun safes, and training from SDCGO, as well as note the other revolutionary jargon that they use.
The “Michael” that they mention, helping them to arm and train has been identified as the political director of the SDCGO, Michael Schwartz.
Finally, this a the image also from the screenshot of Tasha’s Instagram page that shows the invitation from the SDCGO to the general public, which some in BLM and Antifa are exploiting for their own purposes.
The FBI and local law enforcement officials have arrested two men as suspects, Alexander Jacob King and Ricky Bernard Cooper, in the burning of Chase Bank in La Mesa, California during the Black Lives Matter protest of May 30, 2020. The scheduled protest quickly turned into a riot, with attacks on the police station, City Hall, vandalism, looting and arson. It appeared that the Black-Lives-Matter rioters intended to burn down the La Mesa Police Station, as had happened in Minneapolis just the night before. The La Mesa Police prevented them from gaining control of the police station and their attention turned to the banks and other buildings. They did set fire to an annex to City Hall next door to the police station, also, but the fire died out before it could engulf City Hall.
This is video of a leading Black-Lives-Matter organizer, Tasha Williamson, and her entourage of supporters touring the scene as Chase and Union banks are burned to the ground and passing drivers appear to honk approval. Another major building, the historic Randall Lamb building was burned at the same time, just behind the two banks.
When I attended a BLM protest in La Mesa to take video the organizer sicced a mob on me because I am a pro-American blogger. Since this event was in the police department parking lot, I naively thought the police would protect my 1st amendment rights there to take video.
The main culprit in that mob was identified by patriots in San Diego’s East County, who have been tracking him. His name is Stephen Glenn McLeod, a convicted felon, habitual criminal and a user of illegal drugs. Tasha Williamson is a Black Lives Matter organizer and acts as the main spokesperson for them in La Mesa. I never approached them or provoked them and I told them that I had no interest in talking to them.
UPDATE: 9/4/2021 Stephen Glenn McLeod was sentenced on 9/1/2021 for the federal felony of pointing a laser pointer at a police helicopter to 6 months in federal prison and two years supervised release, which is like the federal version of probation. You can read the details of the judgment here.
McLeod was the ringleader of the threatening, hyena-like pack that accosted me and attempted to run me out of the area of the Black Lives Matter event in La Mesa Ca, on August 11, 2020. He works for Black Lives Matter San Diego and part of his role seems to be to serve at their terrorist events as a “strong arm” for protection purposes against opposition and critics. He has a felony conviction and several misdemeanor convictions in Texas. In San Diego, court records online show that he currently has has two misdemeanor charges pending.
Criminal Records for Stephen McLeod in San Diego
Here is video of he event on August 11th. Tasha Williamson is enraged, because I posted video of her in 2018, making a terroristic threat to the City Council to burn down National City, if her demand that the Chief of Police be fired was not met.
Our local media has been suppressing that information about Williamson’s threat for two years before this event, even though she was a candidate for mayor of San Diego in 2020! One would think that threatening to burn down a suburb of San Diego would be of interest to voters. Now, she is making similar terroristic threats to La Mesa City government. A few weeks earlier BLM/Antifa had burned downtown La Mesa to the ground and tried to burn down the police department and City Hall. Dozens of businesses were also looted and several vehicles burned. After their downtown had been burned down by BLM, may pro-BLM posters went up all around he small, liberal city of La Mesa. Is that not sick?
One thing that McLeod said when he called out DEC (Defend East County) in this video was very true that he would not be too hard to find. Patriot activists in East San Diego County identified his vehicle, found out his name and his YouTube channel.
Below is video of them leading me into the police station. The let me go about 45 minutes later after they said they have discovered that I have committed no crime (against the mob).
In this next video, McLeod participates in an attack on a neighbor at a protest at the San Diego Police Chief’s residence on August 28th. This was the same night that he is accused of aiming a laser at a police helicopter. Notice the green laser being pointed in the eyes of the beating victim at about 10:00. That was probably McLeod pointing the laser. This is actually McLeod’s video of the event that I am re-using.
McLeod Part Of BLM Mob That Beats Police Chief’s Neighbor (About 9:00)
McLeod is part of a this group of Black-Lives-Matter anarchists, brawling with police outside the San Diego Police Department headquarters in Downtown San Diego. This event took place on August 24, 2020 at a sympathy for Kenosha protest. The man in blue is Stephen McLeod.
This is an encounter with a cop, after Stephen McLeod was reported for loitering in a school zone. He has an activist attorney, Coleen Cusack, and appears to be setting up cases for her to sue the police. She can probably get her fees from the City when her legal action is successful. Whether at the same time he is trying to make the world safe for pedophiles or even trolling for kids himself, I don’t know.
Here, Tasha Williamson and her entourage survey the results of her organizing efforts as two banks and another historic business building are burned to the ground on May 30, 2020 at a violent “protest” turned riot in La Mesa. Tasha is wearing a black robe and a head covering. This is the woman above, whom Lord McLeod claims to be “protecting” from me, a non-violent, senior-citizen blogger in the first video above. I attacked her only in written words with the truth.
A blogger, Roger Ogden (me), was arrested by police after being accosted, harassed and abused by a threatening mob of Black Lives Matter protesters in La Mesa, who were trying to chase him out of the area. I was there to take video for posting on my blog. The object of these protests in La Mesa is generally to terrorize the police, city government and the people, so that they will accede to the demands of the organizers of the local Black Lives Matter movement.
Below is some video of my actual arrest.
Tasha Williamson, the organizer is angry, because I posted video of her threatening to burn down National City in 2018. Our local media censored and withheld that information! Now she is an organizer in La Mesa, which actually HAS been burned down! You can see video of her making the threat at this link below. Tasha ran for mayor of San Diego this year and one would think it would be relevant that she publicly threatened recently to burn down a neighboring city. Reporters from several media outlets heard her make this threat at that time, yet did not report it. Now the town where she currently organizes has been burned down.
The current protest protest on August 11th was also about 1/5th the size of a similar protest about two months ago with the same “Unity Riders” motorcycle group. Black Lives Matter has lost a lot of its luster, probably due to all the violence and destruction going on in its name.
I counted 200 motorcycles at the last such protest in mid-June, almost two months earlier and about 400 participants. This time there were only 33 bikes and about 80 protesters. This is the third event with disappointing turnout in three weeks. If they do not have a big enough crowd to intimidate the community, they will probably soon quit coming. After the previous destruction, every time they come it disturbs the residents of La Mesa unnecessarily. Businessmen start boarding up their shops again.
I pulled out pepper spray when I felt threatened by the mob. One woman claimed that I sprayed her and another that I shoved her. Both were lies. The police arrested me for that reason. The mob did crowd me enough to touch me, though. After a short investigation, police did not find that I had committed a crime and released me after about an hour with a promise that I would leave the area.
The mob probably was committing a crime in trying to force me out of the area, but the police did not want to deal with it. If it had been a more law-abiding conservative, pro-American group doing the same thing in front of the police, I’m pretty sure they would have issue a lawful order or them to stop and would have enforced that order.
Due to the thugs of Black Lives Matter, you can’t even walk in La Mesa any longer in safety, even when a group of policemen are directly watching. I was there to report on the event, so my 1st Amendment rights were denied by the mob as the police watched and they even enforced the will of the mob by removing me.
This incident demonstrates a BIG problem in California and other liberal/progressive states. The Leftists are not forced to obey the law or to respect the rights of others in liberal states such as California, because they intimidate even the police, media and local government and can call out large and very violent and destructive mobs. It is also due to the liberal/leftist voting majority that sympathizes with such groups and does not want Black-Lives-Matter lawlessness reigned in by the police.
The police enforce the will of the group over the law or rights of the individual and rationalize it by the idea of “keeping people safe”. It is a neo-Marxist concept that has become the standard in California law enforcement. In the long run, it would be safer to enforce the law and individual rights and have a civil society, rather than let society gradually descend into total lawlessness. I am not blaming average cops, because the police are limited by the politicians. It a problem with the politicians and with the general public mentality that does not support enforcement of the law.
If groups like Black Lives Matter are allowed to violate lesser laws by marching in the streets without a permit and blocking traffic on freeways, why should they not believe they are also entitled to burn banks, vandalize property, loot businesses and generally terrorize entire cities. It will only get worse until they are required at some point to obey the letter of the law or the lawless mob takes over completely.
