Denzel Draughn was arrested in San Diego on August 29th at a Black Lives Matter protest and booked on 19 felonies. The charges are nine counts of obstruction/ resisting arrest, nine counts of use of tear gas against an officer and one count of possession of a tear gas projectile weapon.
Apparently, since they terrorized the police chief’s own neighborhood the other night and attacked one of his neighbors, it’s no more “Mr. Nice Guy” with the SDPD for the Black Lives Matter terrorists. If you pepper spray an entire crowd of cops, you could be in serious trouble.
According to a White Pages report, Denzel Draughn has an extensive criminal record in Ohio. Mostly, misdemeanors, but there appear to be two outstanding felony charges from three years ago in Ohio. Scroll down to see the report. If he has unresolved charges in another state, that may be why his bail has been set so high, because he would be a flight risk.
Because his current address is still in Indiana, it raises the possibility that he crossed state lines to participate in Black Lives Matter riots in San Diego. If true this could be an additional federal offense.
The local media has completely ignored this story, so far. I think the reason is probably because our local politicians want to sweep this under the rug and let this terrorist off the hook. We have learned in the past that local politicians sometimes give the media outlets directives and our traitor media has always been enamored with BLM to begin with. Thanks to those who have already taken up this story.
This case really needs high visibility on the internet, national attention, so the local media cannot continue to suppress and censor news about it. This post will be updated as new information becomes available. Please feel free to reuse anything in this post. The photo is not mine, but it was posted in the Internet. So, probably can be re-used for the purpose of news. If you need anything, contact me via the contact tab at the top. The photo displayed was obtained from a flyer for a protest to get him released from jail and is therefore presumably his image.
This is the info on the “Who’s in jail” website. Use the arrows on the bar at the bottom to see all the charges. His bail was originally set at $750K, then was reduced to $200K as shown on his info below. However, on the Sheriff’s website, it has been raised again back to $750K.
This is the White Pages report on Denzel Draughn. Use the arrows at the bottom of the frame to page through the report. White Pages does not claim to always be 100% accurate and reliable, so you have to keep that in mind.
This is Jorge Rojas’ video of the Black Lives matter sympathy protest for Kenosha / David Blake at the downtown Police Headquarters in San Diego on August 24th.
There were about 150 participants, but still the turnout was not much compared to the earlier Floyd George protest when 1,000 or more showed up. It seems that interest in the fraudulent, hypocritical and often violent Black Lives Matters movement is much on the wane. The Black Lives Matter movement feeds on threats, fear and intimidation. A crowd of only 150 is not very intimidating and the police had things well under control.
The protesters marched from the police station to the Gaslamp Quarter and back to the police station. Some had shields, helmets and other gear, so it appeared they were ready to rumble, but everything remained pretty calm. There was one small scuffle in the video, but no graffiti or other destruction of property.
Interestingly, they did not have any police escort during the march and the police did not seem to be blocking traffic for them. They were left alone to march illegally in the streets.
A speaker at a Black Lives Matter rally gives free reign to his neo-communist rhetoric. He uses a couple of metaphors to refer to the destruction of America, such as “tear down master’s house” and “burn down the plantation” as the crowd applauds and yells their approval. This rally was sadly on Independence Day, 2020 in El Cajon, Ca. What a disgrace these people are to the accomplishments of the Founding Fathers.
He talks to the crowd, as if they are all black, but it appears that a huge majority of the audience is white and probably many Hispanics with very few blacks being present. That is the typical racial composition for Black Lives Matter event in this area (San Diego, Ca) and probably most other places. The speaker does not sound black, himself. He cannot be seen in this video made with a cell phone.
Black Lives Matter is camouflaged as a movement about black civil rights when it is, of course, really designed to advance an extreme leftist agenda.
It is important to document their ideology and anti-American and anti-Western agenda. For that reason I posted this video. Since the audio is difficult to understand in places, I have captioned it as well as I could for easier understanding.
A military policeman in the Army reserves, named KC Short led a lawless protest in La Mesa last May 30th that evolved into a full-scale riot under his lead. Three of the towns main buildings were burned to the ground, two of them major banks. The rioters broke into dozens of businesses and looted them. Several vehicles were set on fire, one of them belonging to the fire department, which was trying to respond to the fires.
NBC7 reported that KC Short was a veteran, implying that he is no longer a military police officer. But this is misleading, because he is reportedly still in the Army Reserves.
Short says he is not responsible for the riot and that the left about the time the intense rioting began, at 5:45PM. However, he led the protesters early on in criminal acts, which were being livestreamed to the public by many people. Mass intimidation by a mob of people intent on committing criminal acts as a group does not constitute a “peaceful protest”.
While he was there, he led protesters in disobeying lawful orders from the police and blocking traffic on Interstate 8. It is illegal for hundreds of people to block freeway traffic, endangering the lives of motorists as well as protesters. KC Short led the protesters in this illegal activity and more.
KC Short Leading March To Block Freeway
Then after they returned from illegally blocking freeway traffic, still under KC Short’s lead, the protesters swarmed the La Mesa Police station and started spraying graffiti, breaking windows and throwing rocks and bottles at the police. It seemed they were trying to take over the police station. If they gained access to the police station, the protesters probably would have ransacked and burned the police station as other protesters had done in Minneapolis just the night before.
It is not clear that Short did anything to stop the rapidly escalating lawlessness, but it is clear that he organized it from the beginning and they were committing serious crimes while he was leading them. After the riot was well started and self-sustaining, he left to minimize his own culpability.
He says he is not responsible for everything that happened after he left. In this case, that is just as irrational as an arsonist saying he is only responsible for setting a small patch of grass on fire, but not the forest and houses that burned down after he left. Short led them in the initial law breaking that escalated over time. Leaving after he has started the criminality does not exonerate him.
Since a number of people were livestreaming the event to thousands of local people, one even declared to her followers that “the revolution” has started”, Tasha Williamson. It is not surprising that many other criminals were attracted and did come to join in the riotous, criminal behavior that they saw beginning as KC Short was still in the lead of the group. He is an officer of the law, a military police officer. He should be held to a very high standard.
This video by On.Screen TV shows KC Short taking the lead of the protesters and leading them towards I-8 to storm past a police line (illegally) and block the freeway (also highly illegal). KC Short should be charged with the crimes that he committed. The other, thin, black man wearing a vest and cap, who appeared often to be directing KC Short, also should be investigated and charged.
At one time on his Toopics webpage, he wrote that he would “lead the revolution”. He appears to have deleted that incriminating remark, by now. He has not expressed regret that his event turned so destructive. He is absolutely a traitor to the U.S. He is a disgrace to the Army and the U.S. Military. Why have charges not have been brought against him already?
We have to blame Mayor Mark Arapostathis for that and the City Council. He said publicly that the town had come under attack that night. Why are they not trying to bring the leaders of this attack to justice?
The Mayor is the man in charge, but he probably does not want these terrorists charged for political reasons. A lot of voters in La Masa support Black Lives matter, even after they burned, vandalized and looted downtown La Mesa. Sadly, after the attack, there were pro-BLM signs put up all over town, even in front of the burned-out ruins that “Black Lives Matter” created.
This is the contact info for what I have been told is his Army Reserve brigade command.

This is a military base and they are busy with work. Please respect them and don’t spam them with irrelevant junk emails. That would be counter-productive. Would like to have them sent more serious, more formal emails that specifically address the problem in La Mesa. Or, emails would be good from those who have military experience, who can address the problem from that perspective. If you don’t live in the area and are not that familiar with the situation and/or the military, maybe it is better not to write. We don’t want to fill up their inbox with emails that are not relevant.
Riot Timeline
This is the police timeline of events, according to a report by KUSI. KC Short said he left at 5:45pm. That would be 45 minutes after the event had been declared an illegal assembly by the police. His presence there after the order to disperse was given was also illegal. There is no evidence that Short ever spoke out against or tried to stop the criminal acts that were being committed while he was present and even leading them in their criminal acts.
On May 30, just after 2 p.m., a group of about 200 people gathered outside the police department. The group marched onto I-8 freeway an hour later.
At 4:28 pm., a large group of 200 gathered again outside the police department, where the American flag was set on fire, twenty minutes later. During this time, rocks were being thrown at officers and at the building.
Just after 5 pm., a first order is given to disperse. The first tear gas was deployed by Sheriff’s deputies at the police station at 6 p.m. By this time, the Sheriff’s Department was involved in providing mutual aid.
Over the next hour between 6 and 7 p.m., more tear gas was deployed as officers were targeted by more rocks and bottles.
At 7:16 p.m., a deputy was injured and around this time, a group moved into the city hall area, hurling rocks and setting a fire.
At 8:16 p.m., a protester, named Leslie Furcron, was injured by a bean bag round, when she was struck between the eyes.
At 9:12 p.m., police received reports of looting at the Vons supermarket and looting and vandalism occurred at other businesses on La Mesa Boulevard.
At 11:11 p.m., Chase Bank was reported to be on fire
At 11:29 p.m., Union Bank on the same street was fully engulfed in flames, and looting continued on La Mesa Boulevard.
An overnight curfew went into effect at 1:30 on Sunday morning.
This minute by minute summary is a part of a larger review detailing police actions that day.
Police Chief Walt Vasquez said he hopes this will be a tool to help both citizens and police move forward.
Tensions were building in the city before the riots, with the May 27 arrest of Amaurie Johnson at a La Mesa trolley stop. The police department later dropped the charges against the teenager.
The detailed timeline released Tuesday was done at the request of City Council-members.
When I attended a BLM protest in La Mesa to take video the organizer sicced a mob on me because I am a pro-American blogger. Since this event was in the police department parking lot, I naively thought the police would protect my 1st amendment rights there to take video.
The main culprit in that mob was identified by patriots in San Diego’s East County, who have been tracking him. His name is Stephen Glenn McLeod, a convicted felon, habitual criminal and a user of illegal drugs. Tasha Williamson is a Black Lives Matter organizer and acts as the main spokesperson for them in La Mesa. I never approached them or provoked them and I told them that I had no interest in talking to them.
UPDATE: 9/4/2021 Stephen Glenn McLeod was sentenced on 9/1/2021 for the federal felony of pointing a laser pointer at a police helicopter to 6 months in federal prison and two years supervised release, which is like the federal version of probation. You can read the details of the judgment here.
McLeod was the ringleader of the threatening, hyena-like pack that accosted me and attempted to run me out of the area of the Black Lives Matter event in La Mesa Ca, on August 11, 2020. He works for Black Lives Matter San Diego and part of his role seems to be to serve at their terrorist events as a “strong arm” for protection purposes against opposition and critics. He has a felony conviction and several misdemeanor convictions in Texas. In San Diego, court records online show that he currently has has two misdemeanor charges pending.
Criminal Records for Stephen McLeod in San Diego
Here is video of he event on August 11th. Tasha Williamson is enraged, because I posted video of her in 2018, making a terroristic threat to the City Council to burn down National City, if her demand that the Chief of Police be fired was not met.
Our local media has been suppressing that information about Williamson’s threat for two years before this event, even though she was a candidate for mayor of San Diego in 2020! One would think that threatening to burn down a suburb of San Diego would be of interest to voters. Now, she is making similar terroristic threats to La Mesa City government. A few weeks earlier BLM/Antifa had burned downtown La Mesa to the ground and tried to burn down the police department and City Hall. Dozens of businesses were also looted and several vehicles burned. After their downtown had been burned down by BLM, may pro-BLM posters went up all around he small, liberal city of La Mesa. Is that not sick?
One thing that McLeod said when he called out DEC (Defend East County) in this video was very true that he would not be too hard to find. Patriot activists in East San Diego County identified his vehicle, found out his name and his YouTube channel.
Below is video of them leading me into the police station. The let me go about 45 minutes later after they said they have discovered that I have committed no crime (against the mob).
In this next video, McLeod participates in an attack on a neighbor at a protest at the San Diego Police Chief’s residence on August 28th. This was the same night that he is accused of aiming a laser at a police helicopter. Notice the green laser being pointed in the eyes of the beating victim at about 10:00. That was probably McLeod pointing the laser. This is actually McLeod’s video of the event that I am re-using.
McLeod Part Of BLM Mob That Beats Police Chief’s Neighbor (About 9:00)
McLeod is part of a this group of Black-Lives-Matter anarchists, brawling with police outside the San Diego Police Department headquarters in Downtown San Diego. This event took place on August 24, 2020 at a sympathy for Kenosha protest. The man in blue is Stephen McLeod.
This is an encounter with a cop, after Stephen McLeod was reported for loitering in a school zone. He has an activist attorney, Coleen Cusack, and appears to be setting up cases for her to sue the police. She can probably get her fees from the City when her legal action is successful. Whether at the same time he is trying to make the world safe for pedophiles or even trolling for kids himself, I don’t know.
Here, Tasha Williamson and her entourage survey the results of her organizing efforts as two banks and another historic business building are burned to the ground on May 30, 2020 at a violent “protest” turned riot in La Mesa. Tasha is wearing a black robe and a head covering. This is the woman above, whom Lord McLeod claims to be “protecting” from me, a non-violent, senior-citizen blogger in the first video above. I attacked her only in written words with the truth.
