The San Diego Police Department sent a report to the City Attorney recommending a second set of misdemeanor charges be filed against the organizer of freedom protests against the draconian decrees of state and local officials in response to the relatively-mild, flu-like Covid-19 bug. The City Attorney will review the report and make a decision whether to file the charges with a court, probably in the next few weeks or months. They have up to one year to file charges in a misdemeanor case. Covid-19 is having roughly the same impact on health in the US as a regular flu season. State and local officials are exploiting this relatively mild health threat as an excuse to issue authoritarian decrees in order to deny citizens their constitutional rights of freedom of movement, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. This can set a terrible precedence if allowed to stand.

This event was called “A Day of Liberty – San Diego Freedom Rally”, organized by Naomi Israel. Held on April 26, 2020 in Pacific Beach, a neighborhood of San Diego, Ca, it was a protest of the lock-down, due to Covid-19. This was the second protest. After the first protest, the San Diego police department sent a recommendation to the City Attorney for misdemeanor charges to be filed in court.

After this second protest, the San Diego Police Department sent a second report to the City Attorney recommending an additional misdemeanor charge be filed against the Naomi. The City Attorney will review the report and make a decision whether to file the charges with a court, probably in the next few weeks or months. (They have up to one year to file charges in a misdemeanor case.) Covid-19 is having approximately the same impact on health in the US as a severe flu season. State and local officials are using this relatively mild health threat as an excuse to deny citizens their constitutional rights to liberty, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, which could set a terrible precedent for the future.

California is overthrowing the Constitution, based on a flu-like bug that has, so far, killed less people in San Diego than this year’s regular flu season.

Authorities in San Diego are threatening to arrest and prosecute the organizer of a constitutionally-protected free speech protest last Saturday in San Diego, if she goes forward with another protest this weekend. The protest will held be at:

Naomi Israel is requesting support from everyone that can be there. They may arrest her, but are unlikely to try to cite everyone in the crowd. This is already a national news story and will become much bigger, if our politicians are actually dumb enough to have her arrested and prosecute her.

If you want to participate and yet be relatively sure of not being cited, you can keep your distance from others and optionally wear a mask.

Take Back The Parks – Balboa Park Protest – 4/18

This was a small protest of the closed parks in San Diego on April 19th, 2020. The next day Mayor Faulconer announced that the parks would be opened. Some parks were opened and then only partially. But we did get some immediate relief. Especially, the part of Balboa Park shown in the video was opened to individuals and family units walking and exercising, as long as it was not in large groups.

There was a larger protest in downtown San Diego on the same day and time about generally opening California. There was also a protest of about 100 people in Encinitas on the next day, demanding the opening of the beaches and parks.
