Simi Valley Impeach Obama Now! Protest – March 8, 2014

Semi Valley Impeach Obama Now! Protest - March 9, 2014

This demo was held at 1st Street and the Ronald Reagan Freeway (118) in Simi Valley. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and burial site is on a hill just a few hundred yards away from the demo site. The protesters felt like Ronald Reagan was smiling down on them. Several protest groups like this are starting up in the Los Angeles area. The organizers, Dave and Susan, are urgently looking for volunteers to help out.

  1. Bet there wasn’t any harassment from Simi Valley cops…must be the neighborhood…and the shadow of the Reagan Library! Bravo to Simi Valley organizers and thanks Roger!

    1. No, there was the usual harassment. They came at the end of the demo. One said up front that he agreed with us, but was doing his job, and that most of them were on our side. The supervisor was not that friendly, but near the end we got kind of chummy, all shook hands and departed. The Caltrans guy, who was also hostile at first, thanked me for giving him something to think about. They never did stop arguing that it was illegal, but the episode was not that bad.
