Inspired by the protest in Carlsbad on June 8, 2013, James Neighbors of Oklahoma started “Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment in mid-June, 2013.”

This is a clip of the Carlsbad protest. The honk-storms put the lie to the mass media coverage and hesitant politicians. It demonstrated that there is massive support among ordinary Americans to impeach, convict and remove Obama from office.
It was our 5th Impeach Obama protest since his inauguration in January 2013, though some of the people involved (We the People, California’s Crusader) had been doing occasional overpass protests since 2008. In this series of protests in early 2013, the signage was improved and the videos of the protests were uploaded to the Internet and better promoted. The protest in Carlsbad received widespread attention due to claim by a reported for the local “Patch” site that the protest caused a 10-mile traffic “snarl.”
This is an early protest by Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment in Chicago in July of 2013, organized by Fred Schneider.
An estimated 3-5k protesters nationwide participated in the Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment effort in the summer of 2013. Though they were covered in the local media, the national media never reported on them to any significant extent.
“Stop Obama Now,” organized by Roger Ogden of San Diego became “Impeach Obama Now.”
“Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment” dropped “Impeach Obama” from their name and became “Overpasses for America” in order to conform to IRS dictates for limiting the freedom of speech of non-profit organizations. Impeachment of Obama had to be de-emphasized. Now the theme has become a more nebulous concept of “Restoring the Constitution,” though they still sometimes display impeach-Obama signs.
Also, a number of independent groups for Obama’s impeachment have started around the country. These protests are on-going, though the movement is not as active as the Summer of 2013.
The effort needs to expand from thousands to at least tens of thousands to make sure the national media can no longer ignore the movement. Anyone can do this in your own hometown, either on an overpass or a busy street corner, if you prefer. Start a local group or start you own movement.
This election year is the perfect time for protest, building up to the election. Obama is on his best behavior at the moment. After the election you can expect him to become much more tyrannical. The best time to start building your own impeach-Obama protest group is right now! Show the media, the public and the politicians that there is huge demand to remove Obama from office for his abuses and usurpation.
